Cylinder structure


The cylinder is composed of a cylinder, an end cap, a piston, a piston rod, and a seal. The internal structure of the cylinder is illustrated in Figure:

1) cylinder
The diameter of the cylinder represents the size of the output force of the cylinder. The piston must be in cylinder cylinder to do a smooth reciprocating sliding, cylinder surface roughness should reach Ra0.8 mu m.

2) end cap

The end cover is provided with an exhaust port, and some are still the end cover is provided with a buffering mechanism. A sealing ring and a dust ring are arranged on the side end cover of the rod, in order to prevent the leakage from the piston rod and prevent the external dust from mixing in the cylinder. A guide sleeve is arranged on the side end cover of the rod to improve the guiding precision of the cylinder, bear a small amount of transverse load on the piston rod, reduce the lower bending amount when the piston rod extends, and prolong the service life of the cylinder. The guide sleeve is usually sintered alloy, with copper casting. Used to reduce weight and rust, often using aluminum alloy die casting, the use of micro cylinder brass material.

3) piston

The piston is the pressure part in the cylinder. A piston sealing ring is arranged in order to prevent the two cavities of the piston and the left and the right of the piston. The wear ring on the piston can improve the direction of the cylinder, reduce the wear of the piston sealing ring, and reduce the friction resistance. Wear resistant ring length using polyurethane, PTFE, resin and other materials. The width of the piston is determined by the size of the sealing ring and the length of the necessary sliding part. Sliding part is too short, easy to cause early wear and die. The material of the piston is usually made of aluminum alloy and cast iron, and the piston of the cylinder is made of brass.

4) piston rod

The piston rod is the most important part in the cylinder. Usually use high carbon steel, the surface is hard chrome plating treatment, or the use of stainless steel, in order to prevent corrosion, and improve the wear resistance of the sealing ring.

5) sealing ring

A part of a rotary or reciprocating motion is called a dynamic seal. The seal of the rest part is called a static seal.

There are several ways to connect the cylinder and the end cap:

Integral type, riveting type, thread connection type, flange type, pull rod type.

6) when the cylinder is working, it is to rely on the oil mist in the compressed air to lubricate the piston. There is also a small part of the cylinder without lubrication.
